Finally from Fiji...

Finally, we have a few photos from Fiji. We went to a nearby island this weekend for a day at the beach. We started out in Suva in the rain. Luckily, Cooper was able to borrow a raincoat.

Cooper wasn't so sure about the boat ride, but we made it!
He was more than ready for the ocean and a day at the beach.

Some of the local kids working on the island found a coconut and cut it open for us to drink. Papa showed him how it's done.

Overall, it was a great day at the beach. We are starting to get adjusted to Fiji and island living. We move into our house in two weeks, so we will be able to really get settled. We have been living out of suitcases for nearly 3 months. It's time to unpack! We are going up the coral coast next weekend for the 3 day holiday. We will post more photos soon!

July in Washington, DC

Our first weekend in Washington, DC we headed to the National Zoo to catch up with the pandas, lions, and primates. Cooper was particularly enthralled with the gorillas.

We have really enjoyed getting to spend time with all of our old friends from Beijing. We spent one Sunday morning having breakfast at the park with the Perkins family.

Cooper's papa is a little concerned about how much he enjoys playing with mama's shoes. They have certainly made up for all of his toys waiting for him in Fiji.
So, we leave for Fiji on Wednesday the 8th and will be sure to post photos of our new home town.
