Lucy Comes Home
Lucy looks so tiny in her baby car seat. We weren't really prepared for such a little baby, but she is just as cute as can be and is filling out every day.
Cooper, the proud big brother showing off his new baby sister, Lucy. Every night and at nap time he has to come and give baby Lucy a kiss on the head before he goes off to bed. He is surprising gentle with her.
Cooper and Lucy's cousin, Joy is very pleased to finally have a girl cousin.
Auntie M loves babies!
Lucy asleep at various times of the day, but not so much during the early morning hours.

Who knew becoming a big brother would get you all kinds of new toys. Sandwich, anyone?

Baby Lucy Kalele Plant
Lucy Kalele Plant was born August 16, 2008 at 2:54pm, surprised everyone by arriving right on her due date.
Lucy's middle name, Kalele, means "baby" in Burmese and was Cooper's nickname when we lived in Rangoon. Everywhere we went Cooper's blond hair and blue eyes always brought on cheers of "Kalele, Kalele!" from the local people. We liked the word/name so much we decided we had to use it for his baby sister.
Here are a few photos from her first few hours.

Her nana and grampy on her mama's side.
Her grandma and grandpa on her papa's side.

Summer 2008
Summer has passed us by without even realizing it. Things have been a bit busy here lately, but hopefully we can post photos a little more often. Cooper and I left Fiji at the end of June for a few months of time with the grandparents and for the arrival of his new baby sister. We have spent most of our time at Nana and Grampy's house playing in the hot sun.

On August 2nd Cooper's Uncle Ben and Auntie Sarah had a beautiful wedding in Park City, Utah. Cooper and I flew to Park City two weeks before his baby sister was due to arrive and spent a wonderful weekend with Ben, Sarah and our families. It was truly a gorgeous wedding and we are thrilled for them. Wedding photos to come, but here is a photo of them on their honeymoon.
Baby sister news in the next posting...
